I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in a hotel suite at the Sonesta Hotel…okay, not really. It was in a hospital just outside Boston, but my dad was the general manager at the Sonesta and so began my life of residing in hotels. I’m scarred for life. My idea of camping is a hotel without room service.
By the time, I was 16 I had lived in over 20 different places. This wanderlust left me no choice but to become a writer.
After receiving my M.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University, I started a career in Hollywood. There I attended endless meetings with studios, worked as a producer’s and actor’s assistant, crashed many a party or two and had countless adventures attempting to further my career.
It was exhilarating, mind-blowing, enlightening, devastating, and…exhausting.
I still write for TV and film, but now I spend my time writing books, and yes…before you ask, I do…I do write about everyone I know.
